Hi, I’m Sari!

The Excel-obsessed, cookie-baking mama who believes budgets set you free 🍪📊

My love affair with personal finance began in 2017—not in a fancy boardroom, but at my kitchen table, hunched over a spreadsheet. My (then) husband and I dreamed of buying our first home, but the bank needed proof we could handle a mortgage without eating ramen every night. So I built my first Excel budget… and discovered something shocking: Money felt less scary when I told it where to go.

Then life changed.

When divorce split our world in two, I faced a new reality: an apartment, two little ones (then 3 and 7!), and debt from selling our house. For months, I danced the “will there be money left before payday?” tango. But that humble spreadsheet became my anchor. I budgeted like my sanity depended on it—because it did.

Here’s What I Know Now

  • Planning is power. (Seriously—almost anything is possible if you direct your dollars intentionally).

  • Debt doesn’t define you. (I repaid mine with clenched teeth and a color-coded debt tracker!).

  • Surprises are overrated. (I prepay bills like it’s my Olympic sport 🏅).

  • Baking = budgeting. Both need patience, practice, and forgiving yourself when things crumble.

Why Cashflow Cookies Exists

I created this space for you—the mom lying awake wondering:
“How do I stretch groceries?”
“Can I really make extra income between naps and laundry?”
“How do I teach my kids money skills without traumatizing them?”

Here, you’ll find:

  • Realistic systems (tested during my chaos of packed lunches, meltdowns, and “Mom, I need $5 for school today“).

  • Side-hustles that fit (I’ve tried everything—AI art, blogging, selling templates—so you don’t waste time).

  • Zero judgment (only warm, butter-scented encouragement 🧈).

My Superpower?

Relentlessly turning anxiety into action. I geek out on finance books, test every tip (RIP, envelope system—you were messy), and engineer stupidly simple Excel templates to automate the magic.

When I’m not spreadsheet-ing:
I’m covered in flour, baking stress away. (Fun fact: My chocolate chip cookies have funded 73% of my kids’ “please Mom?” requests). My 7 & 11-year-olds are my toughest critics—both in finance and baking.
